  • This website is still underconstruction.
  • This website is a compilation of many outstanding educational resoures. It is by no means complete. It is created with one person in mind, to help all those who desire to use the internet for educational purposes and have no idea where to begin. It is directed to school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and all taxpayers. As such I request that all copy rights be honored and that it be used for educational and non commercial purposes only.

I dedicate this work to all American Veterans who have sacrificed to see that we , the people of this nation, cherish and protect our liberty, property, and the persuit of happiness. In particular I dedicate this work to my beloved father, Jorge M. Villarreal (1917-1970), and to my father in law, Jesus G. Guzman, both World War II Veterans.

I also dedicate this work to my lovely wife, Gloria, and my children who were patient enough to see that I research all these websites so that others may enjoy.

I am deeply grateful to various individuals who helped me throughout in the collection of certain local information and pictures: Mr. Ismael Garza, Mrs. Josie Guerra, Mr. Eduardo Saenz, Mr. Rodolfo Carlos Salinas, Mr. Alberto Barrera, Mrs. Elia Ramos, and to all the members, past and present, of the Rio Grande City C.I.S.D. SchoolBoard of Trustees, to our Superintendent and and all the administrative staff.

Pictures: Credit must be given to the late Mr. Pete Diaz Sr., Miss Sylvia and Miss Emma Solis, to the Barker Collection, the Hidalgo County Historical Museum, Robert Runyon's Collection at U.T. Austin-(American Memory Collection -Library of Congress), and the McAllen Library.

I am also deeply grateful to those who granted permission to link to their websites.
