Willacy county navigation district is in charge of the township. And I must say they do an excellent job.
Padre Island across the bay makes this a
very interesting area. Miles of sand dunes where you may
look around and just get away from the world. Nature is
here to enjoy. Birds, coyotes, deer, bob cats,
jaguarundi, javelina, ocelots, mountain lions (as we call
them), yes they are in this area and much more. There is
a variety for sure. Gulf side or bay side of Padre Island
for your fishing pleasure. If fishing is your interest,
you will have come to the right place. Trout, redfish,
flounder and much more.
