Many interesting places to drift or wade here in the Port Mansfield area of the Laguna Madre. As we have stated on other pages, there are miles of beautiful water and country to enjoy.
The Mansfield waterway (east cut) a cut through Padre Island to the gulf of Mexico where you can fish for large redfish, jack crevalle, tarpon, king mackerel and many other species. Fish travel this waterway to and from the gulf. This is a very interesting area.
Here in the bay we fish mainly for redfish (red drum), trout, (spotted sea trout) black drum and flounder.
Port Mansfield is one of the favorites along the Texas coast.
